The International Festival of Tea and Coffee

Information about the festival

The International Festival of Tea and Coffee will be held from 24th till 26th of August on Moskovskaya square in St.Petersburg.

Organizers: Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Government of St. Petersburg under the support of the Administration of Moscow region and SUE "Vodokanal of St.Petersburg"

International Festival of Tea and Coffee has become the annual city holiday, which is considered to be one of the most expected and outstanding events in the cultural life of St.Petersburg. (In 2009 - 25 000 people participated in Festival, in 2010 - 40 000 people, in 2011 - 50 000 people).


The festival's most important objectives:
  • Promotion of healthy lifestyles among the general public, especially focusing on young people;
  • The revival and development of the national traditions of tea drinking;
  • Presentation of high quality tea and coffee products to customers;
  • Tea and Coffee market prospects and development in Russia;
  • Contribution to expansion of trade, economic and cultural collaboration with countries producing and supplying tea and coffee.
The participants:
  • Russian production and trade companies, business associations representing Tea & Coffee industry;
  • Confectionery and Bakery products, honey and even Crockery including tea and coffee accessories producers;
  • Traditionally overseas production and trade companies take part in the Festival from all over the world: India, China, Africa, Middle East, Latin America, CIS and other countries.

Diverse cultural program of the Festival will acquaint its guests with traditions and customs of tea and coffee growing in the countries that have been cultivating it for thousands and hundreds years. International Tea & Coffee competition will be held in the frames of the Festival. The Jury will be represented by Russian and international independent experts.

Well-known folk art bands of St. Petersburg will be performing during the Festival. Guests of the Festival will be able to participate in ancient and modern tea and coffee ceremonies accompanied by ethnic music and conducted in compliance with national traditions.

For young guests of the Festival a playground will be constructed where children will be entertained by clowns and fairy tale characters offering them to take part in games and contests with a lot of prizes and gifts.

Special trade faire held in the frames of the Festival will offer a wide range of honey, confectionery and bakery products to its guests.
